CVC has teamed up with CCI Music to support and advance the growing Long Island music scene. CCI Music provides old fashioned representation for singer-songwriters, bands and artists with honest management by music and art lovers, not bean counters. Besides CVC, CCI Music is currently working with such artists as Jay Scott, The Sun Gets Down, Jessie Haynes, Rorie Kelly & many more; as well as venues all over Long Island and beyond, that support local original music.

Check out CVC's new live lineup, "The Vagabonds", which features the tasteful percussive grooves of Brady Wilkins (Karma Sutra), the melodic bass lines of Jay Tebaldi (Grand Case Scenario, Corduroy Sky) & the sweet backing vocals of Maritza Rodriguez (Other Natural Flavors). Tell us what you think of our sound at one of our upcoming shows!

LIVE CD now available! On October 11th 2007, Chris performed a set of his original music with percussionist Brady Wilkins at the Patchogue Theatre. Singer/songwriter, Chris Van Cott, picked up his first guitar at the age of 6 and has been on a musical journey ever since.  He was awarded Longwood Middle School's Composer of the Year for completing a full-length album entitled, Premier Collection, played in various projects throughout high school, and became a 1997 graduate of Five Towns College of Music and Audio Engineering, Long Island, NY.

In 1998, Chris formed Other Natural Flavors , also known by their fans as, ONF. As the lead singer and guitarist, he explored the world of alternative pop music by blending sweet vocal harmonies with an edgy rock sound.  His zeal for adventure led him to the West Coast to record ONF's debut album, Drop the World, at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California.  It received extensive college radio airplay and a licensing deal with MTV networks. However, it was the band's live shows, lead by the energetic singer, that won over many critics in New York and California alike.

Chris' experiences traveling had a profound affect, as his production skills developed and storytelling matured.  After ONF disbanded, he headed home to focus on a solo career receiving praise in the New York indie circuit.  UMO Music NY selected Chris as one of The 14 Best Singer/Songwriters of Greenwich Village, 2004.  The compilation CD showcases all the nominated artists and is available at cdbaby.com/cd/um omusic2.  In 2005, he expanded CVC Studios and began working with other artists, such as Beatriz Elena and film composer, Michael Reola, as producer/engineer.  Twice, Chris was invited to play the "Live in the Lobby" concert series at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, which showcases up and coming Long Island artists. In October 2007, one of those performances was recorded and released as a live album, you can purchase Chris Van Cott - Live in the Lobby here.

With five solo albums to his credit, Chris has recently assembled a group of friends to add their musical creativity to his music. This new band, “The Vagabonds”, consists of the percussive grooves of Brady Wilkins (Karma Sutra), the melodic bass lines of Jay Tebaldi (Grand Case Scenario, The Corduroy Sky), and the sweet backing vocals of Maritza Van Cott (Other Natural Flavors).
